Terms and Conditions for Project Management System (PMS)

1. Introduction

Welcome to the Project Management System (PMS), a web-based platform designed to facilitate the management of projects, theses, and research works for students of the Department of Computer Science and Engineering at Daffodil International University (DIU). By accessing or using PMS, you agree to comply with and be bound by the following terms and conditions. If you do not agree to these terms, please refrain from using the platform.

2. Definitions

• "PMS": Refers to the Project Management System, including its website, features, and services.
• "User": Refers to any individual accessing PMS, including students, faculty, and administrators.
• "Content": Refers to any data, information, files, or materials uploaded, shared, or generated on PMS.
• "Administrator": Refers to faculty members or appointed personnel responsible for managing PMS.

3. Eligibility

1. PMS is exclusively available for students, faculty, and authorized personnel of DIU's Department of Computer Science and Engineering.
2. Users must have valid DIU credentials to access PMS.
3. Users are responsible for ensuring that their login credentials are secure and not shared with unauthorized individuals.

4. User Responsibilities

1. Accurate Information: Users must provide accurate and up-to-date information when registering or submitting any data on PMS.
2. Appropriate Use:
   • PMS should only be used for academic purposes related to projects, theses, and research.
   • Users are prohibited from uploading inappropriate, offensive, or malicious content.
3. Intellectual Property:
   • Users must ensure that uploaded content does not violate intellectual property rights.
   • Plagiarism is strictly prohibited and may result in disciplinary action by DIU.

5. Platform Usage

1. PMS allows users to:
   • Submit project, thesis, and research proposals.
   • Collaborate with supervisors and team members.
   • Track the progress of academic projects.
   • Access resources and guidelines provided by faculty.
2. Administrators reserve the right to review, approve, or reject submissions based on academic guidelines.

1. Data Collection: PMS collects user data, including login credentials, submissions, and communications, solely for academic purposes.
2. Data Sharing:
   • Data may be shared with faculty and administrators for evaluation and academic support.
   • PMS will not share user data with third parties without consent, except as required by law.
3. Security: PMS employs security measures to protect user data. Users are responsible for safeguarding their accounts from unauthorized access.

7. Intellectual Property

1. All content created and submitted by users remains the property of the respective users or contributors.
2. By submitting content to PMS, users grant DIU a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to use the content for academic purposes.

8. Prohibited Activities

Users are prohibited from:

• Using PMS for non-academic or commercial purposes.
• Attempting to hack, manipulate, or disrupt PMS functionalities.
• Sharing or distributing sensitive academic data without authorization.

2. DIU and PMS administrators shall not be liable for:

   • Unauthorized access to user accounts.

10. Termination of Access

1. PMS reserves the right to suspend or terminate user access in case of:
   • Violation of these terms and conditions.
   • Unauthorized or malicious use of the platform.
2. Users may request account deactivation by contacting the administrator.
